Minnesota Dance Consort (MDC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating collaboration and artistry in concert dance. Founded by choreographer and arts leader Ray Terrill, MDC supports independent dance artists, choreographers, and audiences who share a belief in the transformative power of movement.

 

Through performances, mentorship, and partnerships, MDC fosters creative exchange and community connection. The Consort’s work celebrates the breadth of expression and individuality that defines Minnesota’s vibrant dance ecosystem.

Founder & Artistic Director

Minnesota Dance Consort was founded by choreographer and arts leader Ray Terrill to cultivate meaningful artistic exchange within Minnesota’s dance community. With decades of experience in performance, choreography, and producing, Terrill brings a commitment to rigorous craft, collaboration, and mentorship.

 

Through curated performance platforms such as PULSE/impulse, MDC creates space for emerging and established artists to present work in thoughtfully produced concert settings. Terrill’s artistic vision emphasizes clarity, musicality, and the expressive power of movement as a connective force between artists and audiences.
